Li Siguang

Li Siguang Chinese  李四光 , Pinyin Lǐ Sìguāng (born October 26, 1889 in Huanggang , Hubei Province , Chinese Empire , † April 29, 1971 in Beijing , People's Republic of China ) was a Chinese geologist of Mongolian origin and Chinese Minister of Geology. He was a co-founder of the Geological Society of China and a member and vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences .

The mineral lisiguangite , first discovered by Yu Zuxiang , is named after him.
