Lia Timmermans

Cecilia "Lia" Timmermans (born August 9, 1920 in Lier ; † June 14, 2002 in Ostend ) was a Flemish writer and poet.

Life

She was the daughter of the writer Felix Timmermans and Queen Fabiola's first lady-in-waiting . She studied art history and archeology at the KU Leuven , was married to the shipowner Lou Apeslagh and moved with him to Ostend in 1946. Her grave is in the Stuiverstraat cemetery in Ostend.
