Liam James Rosenior (born July 9, 1984 in Wandsworth ) is a retired English football player who last played for Brighton & Hove Albion in the Football League Championship .
Club career
Rosenior began his career at Bristol City as a promising midfielder. In 2003 he scored the winning goal for Bristol City in the final of the LDV Vans Trophy to beat Carlisle United 2-0 . This game was also the last for Bristol City, as he then moved to Fulham FC .
In Fulham, Rosenior quickly became popular with fans due to his Afro look . During a game against Manchester City , he cleared an almost impossible ball on the goal line when the score was 1-1. Fulham won the game 2-1 with a goal in the last minute from Steed Malbranque . Rosenior later told reporters he was only able to clear the ball this way because of his afro look.
He signed a four-year contract with Fulham in July 2006, but moved to Reading FC on August 31, 2007 for an undisclosed amount in exchange for Seol Ki-Hyeon , where he signed a three-year contract. He played his first game for Reading on September 15, 2007 in a 2-1 win over Sunderland.
From October 2010 to June 2015, Rosenior played 144 league games for Hull City , with which he achieved promotion from the Football League Championship to the Premier League . After relegation from the 1st division at the end of the 2014/15 season , Rosenior moved to Brighton & Hove Albion .
