Liana Aghabekjan ( Armenian Լիանա Աղաբեկյան ; born January 15, 1986 in the Armenian SSSR ) is an Armenian chess player who joined the Luxembourg Chess Federation ( Fédération Luxembourgeoise des Échecs ) in 2017 . She holds the FIDE title of International Women's Champion (WIM).

In 2007 she took part with the Armenian national team in the women's team championship in Yekaterinburg . She scored 3 points from 7 games. In the same year she also belonged to the Armenian selection at the European Women's Team Championship , which took third place. At the 2018 Chess Olympiad in Batumi , Aghabekjan played for the Luxembourg women's selection.

She achieved the norms for obtaining the title of International Women's Champion (WIM) between 2006 and 2011. Aghabekjan played club chess in Armenia in the MIKA Yerevan team , for which she also played in the 2007 European Women's Club Cup , in Luxembourg she for the chess club Turm a Sprénger Matt Schëffleng , with whom she was represented in the top division, the national division, from 2011 to 2015 and from 2016 to 2019.

She is in third place in the Elo ranking of the Luxembourg women (as of November 2019).
