Liane Pluntz

Liane Pluntz (born June 4, 1952 in Linz , Upper Austria) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ), social scientist and until 2012 was a women's officer at the Salzburg Chamber of Labor . From 1991 to 1994 she was a member of the Salzburg state parliament .

education and profession

Pluntz was born in the Upper Austrian capital Linz and attended elementary school in Riedersbach , municipality of St. Pantaleon ( Upper Austria ) from 1958 to 1962 . She then moved from 1962 to 1971 to the Ursulines' private high school in Salzburg, where she graduated from high school in 1971 . After graduating from school, Pluntz began studying journalism and communication sciences as well as political sciences at the University of Salzburg in 1971 . In 1984 she completed her studies with the promotion of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.) From. After completing her studies, she worked from 1984 to 1985 as an employee of the social counseling center “Verein Frauentreffpunkt” in Salzburg and then from 1985 to 1988 she moved to the research facility “Institute for Everyday Culture” in Salzburg as a social scientist. In 1988 she joined the Salzburg Chamber of Labor, where she worked as a consultant for women's policy until 2012.

Politics and functions

Pluntz joined the Socialist Party of Austria in 1985 and was a member of the board of the SPÖ regional women’s committee from 1985 to 1994. Between 1991 and 1994 she was also a member of the SPÖ Salzburg state party executive, during which time she also represented the Salzburg SPÖ as a member of the Salzburg state parliament. She was a member of the Salzburg Landtag from February 6, 1991 to May 1, 1994, and in 1991 she moved up to the Landtag for Peter Köpf . In 1995, Pluntz also took on the role of chairman of the “Initiative Frau und Arbeit”, a non-profit limited company for the integration of women into the labor market.

Private

Liane Pluntz is single and has no children.
