Libertus Busemann

Libertus Busemann (born February 28, 1851 in Loppersum ; † March 28, 1944 ) was a German educator and author of numerous natural history books and articles.

Life

Libertus Klaassen Busemann was born in Loppersum as the second youngest child of Klaas Harms Busemann and his wife Anna Snitker. He had seven siblings. It is not known where he studied and was trained as a teacher. After completing his studies, he became a primary school teacher in Emden. Later he worked in Aurich as a preparation teacher in the training of teachers. In 1893 Busemann moved to Northeim as a royal seminar teacher. Busemann was married to Anna Schumacher. Her son is the well-known psychologist Adolf Busemann . Busemann died in 1944, he was 93 years old. Libertus Busemann was the author of many natural history teaching works and essays. He was awarded the House Order of the Hohenzollern.
