Libor Podmol

Libor Podmol (born June 1, 1984 in Ostrava ) is a Czech freestyle motocross rider. He was vice world champion of the FIM / IFMXF World Championship in 2006, 2007 and 2008 , before becoming world champion on December 12, 2010 in Fortaleza (Brazil).

Career

Podmol's career began in the Czech Motocross Championship before he devoted himself to FMX in 2002. Since then it has been an integral part of the FIM / IFMXF World Championship and the Night of the Jumps series. He has also taken part in a number of Red Bull X-Fighters events. He drives a Suzuki RM 250 and has a large repertoire of backflip combinations.

Others

At the beginning of 2010, Podmol spent several weeks in the United States, filming a documentary entitled Tomorrow will be better , which will be shown in Czech cinemas.

In the Czech Republic he is nicknamed Mouka , and at the Night of the Jumps he is often referred to as a sugarboy .

Podmol lives with his girlfriend and became the father of a son Libor Joshua on January 24, 2010.
