Licinia Magna
Licinia Magna was a noble Roman living in the 1st century AD. According to her funerary inscription, which probably comes from the family grave of the Licinii Crassi on Via Salaria , she was the daughter of the consul of 27 AD, Marcus Licinius Crassus Frugi , and his wife Scribonia. The father Licinia Magnas was involved in the overthrow of his son Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus at the instigation of the Empress Valeria Messalina around the beginning of AD 47 and was killed in the process. Licinia Magna married Lucius Calpurnius Piso , who was consul with Emperor Nero in 57 AD and was murdered in 70 AD. A daughter of Licinia Magna was the wife of Calpurnius Galerianus, killed in AD 69 .
