Gabriele Wiechatzek

Gabriele Wiechatzek (born July 23, 1948 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Wiechatzek studied in Berlin and graduated with the second state examination for teaching.

From 1981 to 1992 Wiechatzek was a member of the SFB Broadcasting Council; from 1988 she was chairwoman there. From 1985 to 1988 she was also chair of the program committee and at the same time a member of the ARD program advisory board . From 1987 to 1990 she was Vice President of the Berlin Regional Association of the German Red Cross . From 1988 to 1992 she was a member of the SFB board of directors and the ARD general assembly. In 1994 she became a representative of the board of ProSieben Media AG . In 2000 Wiechatzek switched to independent media consulting. In February 2009 she became a member of the media council of Medienanstalt Berlin-Brandenburg .

From 1975 to 1990 Wiechatzek was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives , where she was Deputy President from 1983 to 1989. From 1990 to 1994 she was a member of the German Bundestag . During this time, she represented the Reinickendorf constituency as a directly elected MP. In November 2005 she became chairwoman of the specialist committee for media at the Berlin CDU. Wiechatzek is married and has one child.
