Lidia Guțu

Lidia Guțu (born August 10, 1954 in Verejeni , Teleneşti district , Moldovan SSR ) is a Moldovan politician ( AMN ) as well as a former member of parliament, minister and ambassador .

Lidia Guțu is an economist and was Deputy Minister of Finance between 1990 and 1995 . Then she worked in the private sector. In the cabinet of Dumitru Braghiș , she was Deputy Prime Minister from 1999 to 2001 .

After the 2001 parliamentary election , Guțu moved into the country's parliament as a member of the Allianz Braghi (BeAB) electoral bloc . She defended her seat in the 2005 parliamentary elections .

In March 2006 Lidia Guțu was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Moldova to Romania . After the election debacle of the liberal democratic Alianța Moldova Noastră (AMN) in the parliamentary elections in April 2009 and July 2009 , her political and diplomatic career came to an end.
