Liebsthal is part of the Quirnbach / Pfalz community in the Kusel district in Rhineland-Palatinate . Until 1975 it was an independent community.
geography
Liebsthal is located in the North Palatinate Uplands in the north-western municipality. The Wehrbach flows along the southern edge of the settlement area in a west-east direction .
history
The first mention of the place took place in 1349 as Lybestatt .
From 1798 to 1814, when the Palatinate was part of the French Republic (until 1804) and then part of the Napoleonic Empire , Liebsthal was incorporated into the Kusel canton . In 1815 the place Austria was added. Just one year later, the community moved to the Kingdom of Bavaria . From 1818 to 1862 the place was part of the Landkommissariat Kusel , which was then converted into a district office.
In 1939 the place was incorporated into the Kusel district. After the Second World War , Liebsthal became part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate within the French occupation zone . As part of the first administrative reform in Rhineland-Palatinate , Liebsthal was incorporated into the newly created community of Glan-Münchweiler in 1972 . On March 9, 1975 it was incorporated into the neighboring Quirnbach
Culture
With a courtyard in Siedlungsstraße, there is a total of one property on site that is under monument protection. In addition, Liebsthal Castle was once located on site .
Infrastructure
State road 352 runs through Liebsthal and connects the place with Frohnhofen , Krottelbach and Quirnbach, among others . The federal motorway 62 runs around one and a half kilometers northeast of the settlement area . The place is also connected to the local public transport network via bus line 282.
