The Lieper See is a lake in the municipality of Klein Many in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The lake is divided into two parts, the broader, less indented northern part and the flat, strongly indented and sloped southern part. There are also two, partially flooded islands. The body of water is 1,300 meters long and up to 550 meters wide. Larger parts of the bank, especially the west bank, are forested. The eponymous place Liepen is located on the east bank. The heights around the lake reach in the north with the Pieverstorfer heights up to 105.3 m above sea level. HN . The name of the place Liepe comes from the Slavic Lipa = linden tree.
The lake is located in the Müritz National Park .
