Liis Tappo-Treial

Liis Tappo-Treial (born Liis Tappo on January 2, 1970 in Tartu ) is an Estonian actress and beauty queen .

Life

Tappo was elected Miss Estonia in 1990. She represented Estonia in the Miss Europe 1991 competition , where she reached the top 12.

In 1992 she won the Miss Baltic Sea competition .

In 1992, Tappo starred in the film Need vanad armastuskirjad , which was nominated for an Oscar for Estonia as best international film , but did not win the award because the film was not shortlisted. The film was shown at the 1993 Berlinale and at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival .

In 2006 she joined the Estonian Center Party . She ran for a seat in parliament in 2007 and 2011 in constituency No. 6 ( Lääne-Virumaa ) , but failed both times.
