Purple archive
The association for the preservation, increase and use of the Lila Archiv eV is a registered non-profit association with special support and was officially founded in 1991 after the fall of the wall. It sees itself as an important addition to the archives of the public sector, because of the information about women and women's movements , about lesbians , about the GDR and Eastern Europe , especially the resistance movement.
The color purple is the symbol for equal coexistence of women and men in society, because purple is the equal mixture of red and blue.
