Xu Lili

Xu Lili ( Chinese  徐丽丽 ; born February 18, 1988 in Binzhou ) is a former Chinese judoka who was second in the 2012 Olympic Games in the weight class up to 63 kilograms.

Xu Lili won the World Team Championship with the Chinese team in Beijing in 2007, after finishing 13th in the Individual World Championship two months earlier . In 2008 she was third in the East Asian Championships and in 2010 she won two World Cup tournaments. With the second place at the Grand Slam tournament in Paris behind the French Gévrise Émane in February 2011, the three most successful years of her career began. In April 2011 she defeated the South Korean Joung Da-woon in the final of the Asian Championships . At the 2011 World Championships in Paris, she retired early against the Cuban Maricet Espinosa . In early 2012, she finished third at the IJF World Masters tournament after beating Israeli Yarden Gerbi and losing to Japanese Yoshie Ueno . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Xu Lili reached the final with victories over the Portuguese Mariana Silva , the Italian Ewige Gwend , the Dutch Elisabeth Willeboordse and the South Korean Joung Da-woon. After her defeat against the Slovenian Urška Žolnir , the Chinese received the silver medal. In 2013, Xu Lili was Asian champion for the second time after 2011 with a victory over North Korean Kim Su-gyong .
