Binzhou ( Chinese  濱州 市  /  滨州 市 , Pinyin Bīnzhōu Shì ) is a district-free city with 3.89 million inhabitants (end of 2016) and an area of ​​9,447 km² in the east Chinese province of Shandong . 407,820 people live in the actual urban settlement area of ​​Binzhou (2010 census).

At county level, Binzhou is composed of two districts one independent city and four counties together. These are:

  • Wudi district (无棣 县), 1,979 km², 430,000 inhabitants, main town: Wudi municipality (无棣 镇);
  • Boxing district (博兴县), 901 km², 470,000 inhabitants, capital: Boxing municipality (博 兴镇);
  • Zouping City (邹平 市), 1,250 km², 700,000 inhabitants, seat of government: Huangshan Street District (黄山 街道).
