Liliana Segura

Liliana Segura is an American journalist , mainly with the judicial system and law of the United States and the freedoms of people and social justice apart sets.

After writing for The Nation and AlterNet , she joined The Intercept in 2014 . and has received several awards for her reporting.

Segura campaigns for the abolition of the death penalty and clarifies so-called statistical distortions in the judiciary and penal system.

Liliana Segura was the editor-in-chief of The Nations special edition on the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) “ ALEC: Exposed ” revelation , in which corporations leverage their position in legislation . She also contributed to Against Equality: Prisons Will Not Protect You by Ryan Conrad . She is honored with special thanks in Jeremy Scahill's Dirty Wars .
