Discography

Gutknecht has worked on the following albums:

  • Gundi: Eugene (2006)
  • Gundi: Live Mühle Hunziken (2007)
  • Gundi: Walking On The Line (2009)
  • Quetzal: 5:45 (2010, with Veronika Stalder, Urs Müller, Simon Iten, Lukas Mantel )
  • X-elle: You Better Get Up (2010)
  • Lily Yellow: Yes I Say No (2012)

Yes I Say No was positively received by the Bern press. The federal government praised the “captivating debut album” as a “bold, cheeky, musically impressive work ... which is stylistically difficult to grasp”. According to the Berner Zeitung, “pop appeal and soul feeling rub against dark folk and atmospheric trip-hop and yet complement each other in a miraculous way”. Trespass.ch praised Lily Yellow's courage to forego “shallow arrangements” and “palatable retro sound”, but noted that the experimental sound and the “mysteriously intricate melody” made access to the album difficult.
