The Limberg near Hasenthal in the district of Sonneberg is 798.4  m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the southern high slate mountains .

The Limberg lies between Hasenthal (city of Sonneberg) in the east and Lauscha and Pappenheimer Berg in the west. On its west flank the Rögitz flows through the Toxigsgrund, on the northeast flank of the Langebach through the Lange Tal. The main summit marked on official maps has a height of 792.6  m , a south-southwest lying secondary summit near the Vorwerk Haselbach reaches over ( 798  m ). In the east of the main summit, the Rodelberg ( 747.7  m ) extends to Hasenthal.
