The Limez Peninsula ( Bulgarian полуостров Лимец poluostrow Limez ) is a north-south orientation 3.3 km long, 2.4 km wide and mostly not icy peninsula , which forms the northwestern extension of Low Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies between Kazichene Cove and Smochevo Cove in the west and Berraz Bay in the east. It ends in the north in the form of Cape Wallace .
British scientists mapped it in 1968 and 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2013 after the town of Limez in southern Bulgaria .
