Limonium pigadiense is a species of the genus beach Lilac ( Limonium ).
features
Limonium pigadiense is a perennial subshrub that reaches heights of 10 to 50 centimeters. The leaves measure 40 to 60 × 8 to 12 millimeters, are single-nerved, spatulate, blunt to slightly prickly, light green and fleshy.
The panicle is rhombic. The ears show 4 to 5 closely or touching two-flowered spikelets per centimeter . The inner supporting sheet measures 4 to 5 × 2.5 to 3 millimeters, is obverse-shaped, three-colored with a green center, more brown on the outside and white on the 0.5 to 1 millimeter wide skin edge. The calyx is hairy at the base and 5 to 6.5 millimeters in size.
The flowering time is in June.
Occurrence
Limonium pigadiense occurs on Karpathos . The species grows on limestone rocks on small islands on the coast.
