Limonium roridum is a species of the genus of the beach Lilac ( Limonium ) in the family of plumbaginaceae (Plumbaginaceae).

features

Limonium roridum is a perennial shrub reached, the plant height of 10 to 35 centimeters. The stem is erect and warty-rough. The leaves are narrowly lanceolate and pointed. The leaf margin appears to be serrated due to warts. The bracts are smooth and glabrous. The ears of wheat are loose. The calyx tube is bare. It has the same length as the inner support sheet.

The flowering period extends from May to July, rarely until October.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 43.

Occurrence

Limonium roridum occurs in the southern and central Aegean Sea , making it one of the more widespread species. The species grows on limestone rocks by the sea.

A frequently used synonym of Limonium roridum (Sm.) Brullo & Guarino is Limonium hyssopifolium (Girard) Rech.f.
