Lin Yu Chun

Lin Yu Chun ( Chinese  林 育 羣 , Pinyin Lín Yǜ Qǘn ; born March 9, 1986 in Taipei ) is a Taiwanese singer , who in 2010 took part in the Taiwanese talent show Super Star Avenue ( One Million Star, Season 6) with his interpretation of I Will Always Love You (originally by Dolly Parton ) in the style of Whitney Houston's cover version became famous.

Lin was initially selected from the Super Star Avenue show . Uploading his videos to YouTube made him an internet phenomenon . The video from the last time you participated in the television show received over 12 million views. In his home country Taiwan he is also known as "Taiwan's Susan Boyle ". Although he did not win the casting show, he is considered to be Super Star Avenue's best-known candidate .

In April 2010 he sang I Will Always Love You and Amazing Grace on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. On the same trip he visited the TV show Lopez Tonight and sang Saving All My Love for You (also a Whitney Houston song) and Total Eclipse of the Heart (originally by Bonnie Tyler ) in a duet with William Shatner .

In the RTL show The 25 Most Incredible Stories in the World on May 8, 2010, Lin Yu Chun's talent for singing was reported.

On May 13, 2010, he signed a recording deal with Sony Music Taiwan . His debut album It's My Time , announced for July, will be released in Germany on December 10, 2010.
