Lince Dorado (born May 11, 1987 in San Juan , Puerto Rico ) is a Puerto Rican wrestler . He is currently under contract with the WWE and appears regularly on their show SmackDown .
Wrestling career
Free Agent (2007-2016)
After his Chikara debut, Dorado wrestled with other promotions as well. In May 2008, Dorado won the Independent Wrestling Revolution Revolucha Cup after defeating Josh Abercrombie. Dorado made his debut for Dragon Gate USA on Open the Heroic Gate in a dark match in which he defeated seven other wrestlers. On October 9, 2009, Dorado won the Sweet Sixteen tournament at F1RST Wrestling. A month later, he entered the Open the Freedom Gate Championship tournament and lost to Gran Akuma in the first round. On March 26th, Dorado won the Garden State Pro Wrestling Championship by winning a tournament for the vacant title.
After Dorado left Chikara, he wrestled primarily for Vintage Wrestling, I Believe in Wrestling, Florida Underground Wrestling, IGNITE Wrestling and, to a lesser extent, Dragon Gate USA and its affiliates. Lince Dorado also started working for Dreamwave Wrestling in 2013. On March 14, 2014, Dorado Gran Akuma defeated Full Burns Pro in Everything Burns Pro to win the FIP Florida Heritage Championship.
On October 4, 2012, Dorado wrestled Kazarian in a tryout match for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling . On January 12, 2013, Dorado took part in the recording of X-Travaganza and wrestled in an Xscape match against seven others, but he could not win this. Before he signed on with the market leader, he was able to win various titles and tournaments.
World Wrestling Entertainment (since 2016)
On April 3, 2016, Dorado was announced as a participant in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic tournament . The tournament began on June 23 when Dorado defeated Mustafa Ali in the first round. In the second round, he was eliminated from the tournament. On July 22nd, it was reported that Dorado had signed a deal with WWE.
On September 16, Dorado was announced as part of Raw's cruiserweight division . Dorado made his debut on the September 21 episode, losing to Rich Swann. On the June 26, 2017 episode of Raw, Dorado challenged then-cruiserweight champion Neville. However, he could not win the match.
In early 2018, WWE decided to use the three masked Luchadors from 205 Live Gran Metalik , Kalisto and Dorado as a team. Their first match, as a trio, took place on January 23, 2018 in the episode of 205 Live, when they defeated Ariya Daivari , TJ Perkins and Tony Nese .
Following the November 12, 2018 episode of Raw, the Lucha House Party competed for the first time since the WWE was formed against a number of teams that were not part of the Cruiserweight Division. They played matches against Bobby Roode and Chad Gable , The B-Team Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel , Heath Slater and Rhyno , The Ascension Konnor and Viktor and The Revival Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson. They took part in the World Cup Tag Team Turmoil Match, at the Crown Jewel PPV 2019 in Saudi Arabia. The duo were the first team to be eliminated from the match just six minutes after the opening.
On October 11, 2019, the Lucha House Party was drafted into SmackDown as part of the WWE Draft 2019 . In March 2020, the Lucha House Party was included in the image of the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship as it was one of six teams in a Tag Team Elimination Chamber Match at the Elimination Chamber PPV. However, they did not win the match.
