The Linge is a 108 km long river in the Netherlands that flows through the provinces of Zuid-Holland and Gelderland . It has its origins at Doornenburg Castle in the municipality of Lingewaard near Arnhem , flows through the Betuwe landscape , which is known for its fruit growing, and flows into the Merwede at Gorinchem .

The river is navigable for small ships, between Leerdam and Gorinchem also for inland vessels up to 600 tons and is important for water sports tourism.
