Lino Villaventura (* 1951 in Belém , Brazil ) is a Brazilian fashion designer.

biography

Lino Villaventura works with local weavers and creates handmade clothes. Together with Inez Villaventura , he founded the “Lino Villaventura” brand in Fortaleza in 1982 . Villaventura is one of the pioneers in the Brazilian fashion industry and focuses on the international market. It has branches in São Paulo and Fortaleza. His models are worn by Xuxa and Hebe Camargo , among others .

In 1996 he was one of the first fashion designers at Morumbi Fashion , today's São Paulo Fashion Week . In addition, Villaventura is a popular costume designer in film and theater. Among other things, he designed the costumes for the film Bocage, o Triunfo do Amor . For this he received the "Prêmio Shell" in 1996.
