The Linstower See is located about nine kilometers southeast of Krakow am See in the extreme south of the Rostock district. The approximately 1250 meter long and up to 500 meter wide water is a lake in the upper reaches of the fog . It originated from the Frankfurt Stadtium of the Vistula Ice Age .
The lake is shaped like a hook with a small island at the kink. The banks are usually very steep and reach heights of 80 m above sea level. NHN .
Federal motorway 19 runs just under a kilometer west of the lake .
The lake and its surroundings are part of the FFH area Nebeltal with tributaries, connected lakes and adjacent forests .
