Digital sustainability deals with the question of how an ethically responsible handling of digital, immaterial goods is possible. Digital sustainability means, among other things, that digital goods can be used by as many people as possible without restrictions. Digital sustainability is therefore a key for global social justice and for a wide variety of human rights. Digital sustainability means, among other things, that all people have access to software and knowledge and that everyone can check why they are being offered this and not other information in a search engine or a social network (algorithm transparency). On its website, the initiative of the association presents 10 theses on digital sustainability and invites you to participate.
