Lionel Bailliu

Lionel Bailliu (born August 19, 1969 in Paris ) is a French film director and screenwriter .

Life

Bailliu studied until 1991 economics at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de La Rochelle in La Rochelle and today ESCP Europe in Paris and then to 1997 screenplay at the Conservatoire européen d'écriture audiovisual. He initially worked as a script editor and film program consultant and made his first short film Microsnake in 2000 , directing and writing the screenplay with Pierre-Yves Mora . For the first time, Bailliu directed the short film Squash , which was completed in 2001 and released the following year , which received nominations for an Oscar and a Césarreceived. After a directing trip to television - he directed the pilot episode of the series Élodie Bradford - Bailliu Squash filmed under the title Fair Play as a feature film. With Denis , Bailliu's second feature film followed in 2013, which then turned back to television with the series Meurtres à… .
