Lior Lev (* 1969 in Beersheba ) is an Israeli dancer and choreographer .

Lior Lev began his dance studies in 1979 at the Bat Dor School of Dance in Tel Aviv , where he received a scholarship from the America – Israel Cultural Foundation and completed his training in 1987 with honors at the Royal Academy in London . From 1991 to 1994 he was a soloist with the Scapino Ballet Amsterdam in choreographies by Ed Wubbe, Armando Navaro and Dani Ezralow. In 1994 he got a permanent engagement with the Stuttgart Ballet under Marcia Haydée (until 1996) and Reid Anderson . He has had solo roles in ballets by John Cranko , William Forsythe , Hans van Manen , Nacho Duato and Daniela Kurz, among others .

Since 1996 he has choreographed his own pieces in Stuttgart, Paris , London , Geneva , Istanbul and Tel Aviv , which often represent an interdisciplinary dialogue with other art forms. In 1998 he completed his training as a state-recognized dance teacher at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart. In 2003 he received a scholarship from the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation for his choreographic achievements .

Lior Lev founded the artconnexion group with Gereon Müller, which aims to help "establish art as a natural part of public life and thus help it to regain a central position within society". Artconnexion also launched the three-year dance project “Move The Music”, in which students, together with professional artists such as Sonia Santiago, design, develop and perform choreographies for particularly impressive compositions from different continents.
