The Liouville Point ( French Pointe Liouville ) is a headland that forms the northeastern end of Petermann Island in the Wilhelm Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula .
Participants in the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903–1905) discovered the headland. The expedition leader and polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot named them after Jacques Liouville (1879-1960), doctor and zoologist on this research trip . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this name into English in 1959.
