Liptov (Slovak Liptov , Hungarian Liptó , Latin Liptovium , Polish Liptów ) is a region in the northern Slovakia , whose name comes from the main castle of the area of Liptov castle is derived. The name of the former Hungarian county Liptau is derived from it
