Lisa Burgmeier (born May 12, 1874 in Aarau , † August 13, 1951 in Zurich ) was a Swiss concert singer .

life and work

Lisa Burgmeier was the eldest daughter of Josef Burgmeier and the sister of the painter Max Burgmeier . From 1892 to 1894 she attended the music school in Zurich and was taught by Gottfried Angerer (1851–1909). In autumn 1894 she traveled to Frankfurt am Main , where she was a student of Julius Stockhausen until 1896 . In her final year of study, she was awarded the Dr. Hoch's Conservatory taught by Marie Schröder-Hanfstängl . On November 4, 1897, Lisa Burgmeier sang in the Römischer Hof at a recital organized for her by Julius Sachs' concert management. She was married to the sociology professor Emil Haemig (1878–1939)
