Lisa Christin Brunner (born September 27, 1992 in Bühl , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German automobile racing driver . In 2016 she won a championship in class 2T of the Special Touring Car Trophy for the first time, and she also secured the junior title.

Career

Brunner began her motorsport career in karting in 2005 , in which she was active until 2013. In 2014 she switched to touring car racing and contested her first touring car races in a Mini John Cooper Works in the ADAC Procar series . Her best result of the season was a fourth place at the Nürburgring . She did not contest the entire season, but was still third in the rookie championship at the end of the year.

In 2015 she switched to the Renault one-make cup Clio Cup Central Europe and tried her hand at the special touring car trophy on a self-built Audi TT RS . In the following year she started again in both series. In the Special Touring Car Trophy she achieved five class wins and was third in the annual classification; she won class 2T and the junior title in 2016. In the Clio Cup Central Europe she took 7th place in the Autodrom Most and thus her best result of the season.

Personal

In addition to her motorsport career, Brunner is completing a degree in vehicle technology. Before that, she lived in Denmark for some time, where she studied mechanical engineering in English for four semesters. She came to motorsport through her father, who was involved in motorsport for years.
