Lisa Loch (born April 14, 1985 in Essen ) is a German television presenter and model . Her argument with television presenter Stefan Raab attracted nationwide attention .

Life

Lisa Loch graduated from high school in 2004 and then studied business administration . She graduated with a diploma in 2011. In 2013, Loch worked at the Institute for Communication and Media Research at the German Sport University Cologne on her doctoral thesis on the subject of "Reciprocal effects of celebrities on recipients and media content from a media economic perspective".

In addition to working as a model, Loch works as an actress and presenter. She shot commercials for RTL , ZDF and FDP , among others . From January 2015 to March 2016, she hosted at Köln.tv the news and the magazine . On November 25th and December 2nd, 2013, she took part as a (ordinary) candidate on the TV show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? took part and won 32,000 euros. Loch has been moderating Sky Sport News HD since March 28, 2017 .

Confrontation with Stefan Raab

At the age of 16, Loch had applied in a Miss election for Miss Alemania in 2001 , which RTL magazine Explosiv reported. Among other things, she was quoted as saying "My name is Lisa Loch and I am 16 years old". This film excerpt was totally exploited by TV on ProSieben . In several broadcasts, Raab made comments about the name Loch, which Munich Mercury described as "dirty jokes".

As a result, Loch experienced teasing from those around her, was harassed over the phone and insulted on the street. As a result, she went into therapeutic treatment.

Loch then sued Raab, the producers of his show and ProSieben for damages in the amount of 300,000 euros before the Essen regional court . With a judgment of February 4, 2004 by the Hamm Higher Regional Court , she was finally awarded 70,000 euros in the appeal process.

The court ruled that Raab had seriously violated her personal rights by publicly vilifying the student . Satire could claim considerable freedom, but should not hurt a person in the core area, it said. Above all, it had to be taken into account that the plaintiff was still a minor when the programs were broadcast. An appeal by the Federal Court of Justice was not permitted. According to a media report from 2015, Raab himself has not apologized to Lisa Loch (so far).
