». . . With every new decision, every new step you move forward, and the cone of light moves with you. And again a short, new piece of the way becomes visible. The security that you gained in one day can be lost again the next day, with the next step. The only thing that helps is: don't be afraid, go further and now and then take a look back at your path. With her way of working, the concept of the presentation of her oeuvre , Stybor radically questions the linearity of time. In her OPER / A “Song of the Earth”, which brings together around 100 works from 20 years of her work, she breaks with the linear development of artistic creation as well as with linear perception. Through a wide variety of expressions and themes, she depicts the temporal coexistence of four aspects (birth, development, destruction (death) and the incomprehensible (the transformation)) of the world.

Genocide against the Armenians

The Armenian genocide has become a central part of their work since Stybor first heard about it from an Armenian student around 1998. She dedicated the cycle on the genocide of the Armenians to this topic. Stybor has dealt with this topic in her exhibition "1915 - AGHET- Weg der Tänen".
