This is a list of the mayors of Swakopmund since the city was founded on August 4th, 1892 by Curt von François .

The mayor is the head of the city council. He is supported by a city director whose duties correspond to those of a managing director in a commercial enterprise. As of June 2014, this office is held by the German-named Eckard Demasius .
