Daniel Kamho

Daniel Hangula Kamho (* 1949 ; † February 2, 2004 in Swakopmund ) was a Namibian politician ( SWAPO ).

Daniel Kamho became a member of SWAPO at a young age and became the first democratically elected mayor of Swakopmund in 1992 . He held this position until 1998, when Samuel Nuuyoma replaced him for one year . In the following year Nuuyoma became governor of Erongo and Kamho took over the mayor's office again until 2003. Due to his suffering from a brain tumor , he did not run for office in 2004 and was replaced by Rosina ǁHoabes , the first female mayor of Swakopmund. Kamho died in 2004 at the age of 55.

Daniel Kamho had been married to Thekla Kamho since 1978 and had two legitimate children.
