List of mayors of Michelstadt

The list of mayors of Michelstadt includes the mayors of the Hessian city of Michelstadt .

There is evidence that mayors have been appointed by the rulers in Michelstadt since 1483, but these are only fully documented from 1598 onwards. They were paid and headed the "City Council". From 1613 onwards, judges elected the "Council Mayor" from among their ranks every year; from 1821 this was elected from the ranks of the municipal council.

Since 1919

On July 3, 1919, the Michelstadt municipal council decided to introduce a full-time, salaried mayor who was directly elected by the people. The following persons have held this office since then:
