List of honorary citizens of Schwabach
The honorary citizenship is the highest honor that the city of Schwabach has awarded to. A maximum of five living people can be honorary citizens of the city at the same time. In addition, it has been awarding the Golden Citizen Medal since 1927. In addition, personalities can be entered in the city's book of honor.
Since 1867 the following people have been made honorary citizens. On March 27, 2009, the city council unanimously distanced itself from the award of honorary citizenships to Paul von Hindenburg, Adolf Hitler, Julius Streicher and Adolf Wagner during the Nazi era.

Friedrich Wilhelm Meinel (born November 8, 1791 - † April 29, 1879)
- City pastor, dean, councilor
- Awarded on July 29, 1867
- On the occasion of his 50th anniversary in office, Meinel was made an honorary citizen for his beneficial work as a clergyman and his membership in the Poor Care Council.

- City pastor, dean, councilor
- Awarded on May 4, 1900
- Herold had rendered services to schools, poor relief and church art in the city.

- Factory owner, commercial councilor, member of the state parliament
- Awarded on December 2, 1907
- Ribot served as chairman of the ward college from 1896 to 1907. He was granted honorary citizenship for his exemplary work in this office in all areas of parish life.

- Factory owner, chairman of TV 1848 Schwabach from 1876 to 1904.

- Schuster was made an honorary citizen for his services to the good of the city in the Catholic parish and for his successful cooperation between the denominations.

- McElroy and Hannon were honored for their contribution to the surrender of the city without a fight on April 19, 1945 and its preservation from destruction.
