List of municipalities in Lower Austria

The Austrian state of Lower Austria is divided into 573 politically independent municipalities . The municipalities are regulated in the law on the division of the State of Lower Austria into municipalities , Landesgesetzblatt 1030-94 of December 9, 2011.

Due to the large size, the list was divided into two parts: List of municipalities in Lower Austria A – L List of municipalities in Lower Austria M – Z The individual sections can be reached directly via the table of contents.

The lists are given by the communities and their cadastral communities . The spelling of the community names is based on the Lgbl. 1030-94, those of the cadastral communities (not the localities ) according to the land register of the Federal Office for Metrology and Surveying.
