This is a list of the Tulou ( 土楼 , tǔlóu - "earth buildings, earth houses") of the Hakka , a style of Hakka architecture in southern and southeastern China in the provinces of Fujian , Guangdong and Jiangxi ( see main article Tulou ).
Over 20,000 of these buildings, built between the 12th and 20th centuries, are preserved today. The tulou occur individually or in groups (tulou qun 土 楼群 ). One of the groups is e.g. As the Tianluokeng Tulou group in the village Shangban the greater community Shuyang county in Nanjing province Fujian .
Some of the Tulou are since 2006 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China and since 2008 on the UNESCO - World Heritage Site .
