The road network in the Canadian territory of Nunavut is still quite thin. There are no supra-regional connections, the seven existing highways open up the area around the respective cities. The highways have not yet been numbered. Winter roads are set up in the middle of winter, when the ground is frozen accordingly, and are available until the melt.
