Jena is a high-rise city. The cityscape is noticeably characterized by high-rise buildings. The high-rise buildings were created by the Carl Zeiss company , which had an outstanding position as the largest company in the city. In addition, the narrow Saale valley leads to a building in the air.
Tall buildings in the prefabricated housing estates Neulobeda and Winzerla are not listed.
