Building 15 (2009)

The construction of 15 , also Zeiss building 15 called, is a historically significant architecture skyscraper in Jena ( Thuringia ).

It is 42 meters high and has eleven floors. It was built in 1915 as a factory building based on a design by the architect Friedrich Pützer , making it the oldest high-rise in Germany . The client was Carl Zeiss AG , on whose factory site in the west of downtown Jena the building was built based on American models. Parts of the Zeiss Group's optical workshops were located in the building. During the Second World War, the building was badly damaged and burned out almost completely.

Today the completely refurbished house houses offices and apartments.
