Gunter Falk

Gunter Falk (born October 26, 1942 in Graz , Styria , † December 25, 1983 there ) was an Austrian sociologist and writer .

Life

After graduating from high school , Gunter Falk studied sociology and philosophy at the University of Graz from 1961 to 1966 . In 1967 he received his doctorate in philosophy. He then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Sociology at the University of World Trade in Vienna , and from 1969 until his death he was a university assistant at the Institute for Sociology at the University of Graz. He completed his habilitation there in 1980.

In addition to his work as a scientist, Falk was also active in literature. He was one of the leading members of the avant-garde " Grazer Gruppe ". His lifestyle can be described as striking.

Gunter Falk's literary work, which is predominantly language-critical and experimental , includes stories, essays and poems. He was a member of the Stadtpark Forum ; with his penchant for experimentation, he was aesthetically closer to the authors of the Vienna group .
