Graz Group

The Grazer Gruppe is a loose association of Austrian authors that has formed in the Styrian capital Graz around the Forum Stadtpark and the magazine manuskripte from the 1960s onwards . The term was first used by editor Alfred Kolleritsch in issue 18 (1966) in a preview of the next issue and at that time included: Wolfgang Bauer , Gunter Falk , Barbara Frischmuth , Peter Handke , Wilhelm Hengstler , Klaus Hoffer and Alfred Kolleritsch.

In the following years there were also Helmut Eisendle , Reinhard P. Gruber , Bernhard Hüttenegger , Elfriede Jelinek , Gert Jonke , Gerhard Roth , Harald Sommer , Michael Scharang and Alfred Paul Schmidt .

From the 1980s onwards, Lucas Cejpek , Günter Eichberger , Wolf-Dieter Eigner , Max Gad , Walter Grond , Werner Schwab and Franz Weinzettl can be assigned to a new generation .

The Graz group includes Franz Buchrieser , Ingram Hartinger , Alois Hergouth , Rose Nager , Peter Rosei and Peter Waterhouse .
