Walter Grond
Walter Grond (born May 25, 1957 in Mautern , Styria ) is an Austrian writer .
Some stations
Walter Grond served as co-editor of the literary magazine Nebelhorn from 1976 to 1980 and was a member of the Graz Authors' Assembly from 1980 to 1982 . From the 1980s he was also part of the Graz group . Since that time (1982) he has been working as a freelance writer. From 1986 he worked for five years in the editing department of ORF Styria and gave the recording. Literature from the Styrian regional studio . Walter Grond was a member of Lord Jim Lodge , an association of several artists, including Jörg Schlick , Martin Kippenberger , Albert Oehlen , Max Gad , Walter Grond and the writer Wolfgang Bauer . Grond headed the literature department at Forum Stadtpark for several years (1987–1995). From 1995 to 1997 he was President of Forum Stadtpark. During this time, Grond experienced some violent controversies in his cultural and political engagement. After his departure as chairman, he left Graz and has lived in Aggsbach Dorf in Lower Austria ever since .
Walter Grond not only appears as a novelist and essayist, but also deals with projects linking literature and the Internet. The “taxis” project was created in the context of Gerfried Stocker, who later headed the Ars Electronica Center in Linz (Upper Austria). A little later he took part in the development of the International House of Authors in Graz (1997/98). From 1991 to 1993 Walter Grond published the literature series "Essay" at Droschl Verlag in Graz . From 1997 to 2000 Walter Grond taught at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and at the German Institute of the University of Klagenfurt. At the same time he worked at the ICCM Salzburg (1997–2001). In 2002 he was a literary guest at the Collegium Helveticum at the ETH Zurich and was in charge of the project “Writing on the Net. Literature in the digital age ”. Since 2005 he has headed the European platform for literature readme.cc . Since 2009 he has been the Artistic Director of Literaturhaus Europa and the European Literature Days.
