Old diaconate
One of the oldest town houses in Garding, built in 1572, until 1892 the residence of the deacon (= second pastor). 1901 to 1911 private school. The German historian Theodor Mommsen was born in this house . Used as the parish hall of the Protestant parish since 1969.
The St. Christians / St. Bartholomäus Church goes back to the single-nave, cruciform brick church of St. Christian built in 1117.
