The old church was built around the year 1200 from burned bricks and on a foundation of sandstone. It is a single-aisled sacred building made of brick masonry, the exterior is plastered and painted white and has a small roof turret amidships.
The Pellworm lighthouse is the tallest structure on the German North Sea island of Pellworm in the North Frisian Wadden Sea. It is located in the south of the Pellworm marshland near the sea dike on the edge of the Nordheverstrom.
